Established in 2003, the Hacienda Café specializes in organic products. Besides coffee, the house highlighted the goodies as the chip guazú a kind of pie made with corn and cheese colonial. The inspiration comes from the kitchen cuisine of Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. The coffees are prepared with grains of southern Minas Gerais, brand Terra Verdi.
Exquisite coffees in Brazil, including mochas and specialized lattes with liquor are not inexpensive in Brazil. They fluctuate from R$ 4,00 to R$ 9,50 (about US$ 2.00 to US$ 5.00). These values are for a a whole lot smaller cup of coffee than the ones Americans are accustomed to. They're smaller than a small (tall) latte. Notwithstanding, Brazilian coffee is appetizing and bold, and is consumed during the day, always in small cups. Coffee houses provide some pastries and sandwiches as well. A few bakeries and even bars (botecos, botequins) will hold coffee with cream at any time during the day and the evening. Brewed coffee with milk and a minute French baghette with butter is typically the popular breakfast meal offered in virtually any pub/coffee house in the country.
