Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba

The Oscar Niemeyer Museum is one of the largest exhibition complexes in Brazil, with approximately 16,000 square meters in the display of artwork. The museum also includes an auditorium capable of seating 400, a café and several areas for resting tired feet.  A wonderful tourist attraction that visitors from around the country come to see.  Opened in November 2002 under the name of the "New Museum", it was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and in 2003, its name was changed to Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON), in homage to its famous designer.  The primary objectivel of the museum is to focus on the visual arts, design, and architecture of urbanism.

 

The Oscar Niemeyer Museum is right next door to the Bosque do Papa João Paulo II , which also has the Polish Immigration Memorial

 

 

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm

Price: Adults $4.00, Students $2.00, Children under 12 Free, Adults over 60 Free
