Created in 1998, the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (SC-MIS) is a space facing the audiovisual media, showing movies and acting as a depository of iconographic material and sound in general as films, photographs, records, tapes magnetic and others, of artistic, historical, sociological and cultural. Among the pieces of the collection are 5000 photographic negatives, documentary Armando Carreirão, 6000 vinyl records and more than 500 VHS tapes.
