inaugurated in September 25, 2003, the Museum of Trash was the initiative of a group of employees Comcap, the company responsible for cleaning the streets of Florianopolis.
Monitors accompany visitors around the circuit and explain the process by which the waste passes.
The tour ends at the Garbage Museum, where the public can check out the collection that holds curious objects found among the garbage. Among them are an old turntable, ornaments, home appliances and many books.
At the site also promotes workshops and activities with children towards environmental education.
