Praia Mole lies on the east coast of Santa Catarina Island. It has clear waters, with big and strong waves, loose and soft sand. The Mole Beach is well maintained it has footvoley courts, mini-ramp, paddle with good tourist infrastructure, kiosks, parking, showers, restrooms, lifeguards and a few hotels and inns.

Facing the Atlantic Ocean Mole beach is one of the most sought after by surfers. Despite having best equipped lifeguards posts of the island, families with children should be especially careful. In addition to the strong waves caused by the open sea, the Mole beach depth increases abruptly after a few steps toward the sea.

Paragliding is the most practised sport in the area. With the South wind paragliders jump from the north corner and with the northeast it is better to jump from the South corner. As one of the most popular beaches in the city during the season may slow down traffic. Who goes to the center later in the day can get in traffic jams, because besides the beaches, the region has many bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
