The Safari Zoo, former Simba Safari, a zoo and park is under the administration of the Foundation of São Paulo Zoological Park. It opened in 2001 and has an area of ​​80,000 square meters, with native animals in the Atlantic.

The Safari Zoo is the only park in South America that exposes loose wild animals for visitation. It has 380 animals of 42 species, which can be seen in a loose course of 4km by car or van.

The former Simba Safari was founded in 1971 and was a center for studies on animal behavior, where the visitor came in contact almost directly with the most diverse species.


You can visit without leaving the São Paulo Zoological Park for a very special price, access the portal, where vans take visitors through a trail in the Atlantic for a wonderful ride.
