This is for the people who love nature trails, and participating in eco tourism activities. The trails in Serra de Aratanha are a great place to surrender to the charms offered in this 304 acres of green heaven, embedded in the Serra of Aratanha in the municipality of Guaiúba, only forty five kilometers from downtown Fortaleza.

This site not only has many nature trails, fishing and activities, but offers a guest house, which offers up meals and accommodations. The attractions in the Sítio Céu begin at the entrance to this property, with waters from one of the waterfalls, falling in the front yard of the main guest house, which gives a warm welcome to all who visit.

If you arrive early in the morning, expect to find them serving up a hearty colonial breakfast along with other delicacies prepared with products from the farm. After breakfast, visitors are invited to use any of the many trails, with guides who live on the property being available. The trails can be walked by people of all ages. It is recommended to wear shoes and light clothing.

There are several waterfalls here, with one of the more popular ones being Cachoeira do Loiro e da Loira, a fourteen meter drop, the second is Cachoeira do Lula, the one which is most commonly sought after for swimming in, due to the natural pools that form at the base, which are good for both swimming and diving.

Some of the trails also provide access to various lookouts, which offer the best views of the Sierra de Aratanha. For those who like an adrenaline rush, there are also locations for rappelling. Besides rappelling, trails, and bathing in natural pools, there is fishing available on site.

After the morning activities, head back to the house to recharge with a typical regional lunch, which is also the heavest meal of the day for Brazilians.

Black Stone -- Located 1,500 meters from the trailhead of Boaçu.

Peak Marquee -- Culmination of the Serra da Aratanha with 775 meters high, reached by trails of medium difficulty, where you get a panoramic view of Fortaleza and its surroundings.

Quarry -- Located in the foothills of the Sierra Aratanha, conducive to practicing rappelling, rough 70 meters in height

Entry Fee R$ 25.00 per person

Entry Fee with Lunch R$ 50.00 per person (Children aged three and eight years receive 30% discount.)

Over night, Double occupancy with breakfast is R$110.00, a suite is R$130.00

Weekend Package from Friday at 4:00 pm until Sunday at 5:00pm is R$260.00 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
