Christmas in Porto Alegre
Sunday was beautiful in the state capital. The sun shone in the afternoon at the Gasometer plant and provided an incredible setting for those who gave the farewell of the attractions of the fourth edition of the Christmas plant.
The moçada Orchestra Villa-Lobos ended the music program of the event to the tune of national and international classics such as Imagine, Something, Dancing Queen, Brasileirinho, but nothing, Watercolor of Brazil, among others. The public turned out in great numbers, and even applauded the aparesentação requested encore.
Before the presentation, the Group Cataventus called the children to explain the birth of Christ. Mothers, fathers and paid little attention to every detail of history, which also makes a fun warning about the importance of preserving the environment for people's lives.
Soon after the 21h, the public was presented with the lighting of the fireplace Gasometer, which colored the sky of Porto Alegre with a light show and fireworks.
Lighting the chimney will continue until January 6. Mill Christmas 2010 is performed by the RBS Group in partnership with the city government and is sponsored by Pirelli.
With only minutes to nine o'clock, the presentation was interrupted for the firing of the chimney at the plant. After the lights on and the launch of the fireworks, were also performed two more songs and Isabella ended the show with the audience singing along to music Porto Alegre's All That.
Mill Christmas is a realization of the RBS Group and the Municipality of Porto Alegre, sponsored by Pirelli. The event runs until January 6.
The Porto Alegre and tourists who spend 25 days in the state capital will be able to give an extra special concert in the Gasometer plant. On Christmas Eve, will pack Fogaça Isabela Porto Alegre and visitors, as of 20h with a repertoire of Christmas songs.
In styles as varied as ballads, rock, samba, country, pop and international versions of classics, it will play music by composers such as Joseph Fogaça, Assis Valente, Luiz Colonel Henry Mann.
To close the 2010 edition of the musical program, the youth orchestra of Villa-Lobos will lead to national and international stage classics such as Imagine, Something, Dancing Queen, Brasileirinho, but nothing, Watercolor of Brazil, among others.
The group, formed by children of the village map, on the outskirts of Porto Alegre, seek social inclusion through music, establishing interaction with the elements of local culture and expanding the possibilities for participation in society.
