Centro Cultural Benfica
Created by the Federal University of Pernambuco in 2001, the Cultural Center Benfica - CCB is considered one of the most important cultural institutions in Pernambuco. The space came up with the purpose to support and develop artistic projects of the state. Housed in a mansion built in the nineteenth century, the CCB has an auditorium, exhibition halls and event area. The place also houses other cultural institutions like the Institute of Contemporary Art, Theater and Joaquim Cardozo UFPE museum collection that contains part of the works and objects of the old School of Fine Arts and modern art, contemporary and popular of Pernambuco, in brochures string, file phonograph traditional music of the Northeast. Moreover, it is possible to give cultural performances such as concerts and plays, and attending classes, art exhibitions, lectures and seminars.
