Memorial Luiz Gonzaga
Representative of the greatest popular music of the Northeast, Luiz Gonzaga decisively interfered in the history of Brazilian music on the national stage to introduce the rhythms of the interior and northeast - tunes, xotes, Xamego, sorrel, xaxados, marches, tangled.
When reunited with his musical roots, helped shape the identity of the imaginary in northeastern Brazil, the printing of the accordion waltzes and tangos, from the 40s of the twentieth century, a new musical. So how accordion, the instrument acquired a new personality.

MEMORIAL LUIZ GONZAGA
The Memorial Luiz Gonzaga (GLM) is a cultural facility of Recife, whose main objective is to preserve and disseminate the greatest legacy of Luiz Gonzaga, his music, and everything that surrounds it, all intangible assets that revolutionized music in Brazil of the 40's and 50's century, and contributed to the formation of the concept of cultural landscape in Northeastern Brazil.
The FFM is a center of memory and research, which offers casual visitors, researchers and tourists, not just information from its physical collection and expographic project, but also aims to be a central receiver and disseminator of knowledge produced about the work of King the Baiao, establishing links and partnerships with similar institutions, using the resources of information technology with dynamic and purposeful profile.
The current collection of FFM was formed with the acquisition of Mavi collection of the Netherlands, the Municipality of Recife, formed by rare 78 rpm discs, Long Plays, CDs, photographs, printed matter, scrapbooks, videos and audio files MP3 format. It is a unique collection of GLM, the set of documents assigned for replication by Aza Branca Park, built by Master Araripe in his birthplace, the town of Exu - photos, scores and scrapbook.
Aware that the task of education is a responsibility of every institution that houses the collection of a community asset, and that education is the best way for the perpetuation of cultural traditions, the GLM also offers courses, lectures and similar activities within the universe of your reference.
