Angra dos Reis promotes one of the finest off-season carnivals in the world. The arrival of a new year is celebrated with a party at sea.
For over 30 years on the first day of the year the sea of Angra dos Reis's welcome the new year doing one of the largest maritime festivals in the world.
The Maritime Procession of Angra dos Reis draws thousands of watercraft at sea from small boats to large ships to ocean liners. Many of these boats are decorated with various themes, many stories always remind experienced during the past year.
These boats are decked compete to see which boat was the most decorated.
To register and participate with their own boat is required to enroll in the office of Culture, has only to participate in boats you can buy third abbeys parade on the high seas.
This festival is a true off-season carnival, music, beautiful people and cheerful, decorated boats as well as many participants.
The party starts early at the beach Arrows in Gipóia island and ends in mid-afternoon on the beach of the Anil.
At 12:00 pm start concentration. Two hours later, at 14h, all follow the festival until Anil Beach, Center Creek.
Parea cool, jets of water from the tug of Petrobras are posted in the galley every year further enhancing the joy of the revelers.
