Girl from Ipanema Park
Privileged by the landscape and vegetation, besides being an attraction for lovers of sport, the 2.58 ha. site has games court, skating rinks and a bike path which crosses the park and goes to the Copacabana Fort (11588). The park also has a stage for various events. The Department of Environment revitalized access within the park, and has replaced the cage and the seesaw in the playground area, which has more than 20 rocking chairs for the kids, wooden benches, a garden area with especially seeds of Bougainvillea or Congo (the pergola). In 1994, the Park Girl from Ipanema has joined the Environmental Protection Area of Copacabana and Arpoador Tips, where are only permitted activities that do not affect the local ecosystem. Location: Arpoador beach (10011), between the Francisco Bhering Ave. and Francisco Otaviano Street. Daily, from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm with free admission. http://www0.rio.rj.gov.br/fpj/pqgarotaipanema.htm
