Micareta de Portão
The "Carnival out of season," also called "micareta", a word coming from the French word "Mid-Lent," kind of party that is increasly known and gaining more prominence in Brazil.
The Gate Micareta in Lauro de Freitas is an October event that opens the cycle of popular celebrations of the North Coast that attracts thousands of people within three days of revelry.
In the circuit of the Micareta de Portão in Lauro de Freitas trio blocks, some with more than one thousand members make the party. Some of the most famous are Bankoma, Samba Foot, The Hurricane with Bronka, First Kiss, Mirim Block, The Briefs, The Dangerous Express Trails John Rapp, Rapp and Banking Cachaça Trail leading from samba to hip hop to the circuit. On Sunday morning, the origin of the feast will be honored with the Cultural Parade that ends with the washing steps of the Church of St. Anthony. On this day, cultural groups transform the streets May God and St. Anthony, the main gate, on a stage of dance groups parade. The Micareta Gate began as a party of friends for 31 years. It was just cleaning the church on Sunday, accompanied by a lot of samba in the palm of the hand. Over the years, won two more days and blocks of the trio. Today it attracts thousands of natives and tourists alike and has become one of the biggest parties in the metropolitan region, culture and the economy moving in the neighborhood. The Micareta is organized by the Municipal Secretary of Culture in partnership with the Association Carnival Gate. It is not permitted to sell beverages in glass containers in the circuit.
