Eugênio Teixeira Leal Museum

Created in 1959, during the sesquicentennial celebrations of the Bank's Economic S. A. In 1984 the collection was broken, the Numismatic Museum remaining in the neighborhood of Commerce, more than 27,000 coins and bills in Brazil, sine transferred to the Museum Eugenio Leal Teixeira, in Pelourinho a collection of 5,000 pieces, among them, coins, medals and domestic and foreign decorations, furniture, paintings, plaques and trophies. Its name honors Dr. Eugenio Leal Teixeira, president for life of its collection Banco.No are documents, photographs, videos and cassettes. Under their care are also private files such as Miguel Calmon Sobrinho, alluding to his activities as president of the Bank, Deputy, Minister and Chancellor of the Federal University of Bahia, collections of loose documents and the family of Professor Jose Calmon Calazans. the Library is geared more to the social, economic, political and cultural life of Bahia and is made up of law books that belonged to Dr. Innocent Calmon, Miguel Calmon Collections and Professor José Sobrinho Calasans, and periodicals and newspaper collection on the same subjects. In addition to works of the history of Brazil, muscology, medals, Economic History, Social Sciences, among others.
