Sister Dulce Memorial

A permanent exhibition on the legacy of love and charity of Sister Dulce. So is Sister Dulce Memorial, opened in 1993, one year after the death of a nun, and situated in a building attached to St. Anthony Convent, at the headquarters of OSID. The habit worn by her, photographs, documents and personal belongings can be seen in the MID, which still preserves intact the room of Sister Dulce, where is the chair on which she slept for more than thirty years because of a promise. Other milestones in the life of Mother of the Poor are remembered through scale models, books, diplomas and medals. Among the items of the collection, is the image of St. Anthony, the eighteenth century, belonging to the religious, before she used to pray. In Social Work, she used to make the holy visitors as the "treasurer of the house." The visit to the Memorial Chapel extends to the Relic at the Shrine of Sister Dulce, where, since June 2010, the tomb that holds relics. Part of the Memorial, the core memory of OSID meeting today a collection of more than nine thousand pieces, helping to preserve and keep alive the ideals of Sister Dulce.


With free admission, the MID is open Tuesday through Saturday, at the time from 10h to 17h and Sundays from 10h to 15h.
