The latter is bigger than a regular cheeseburger and may also be filled with a variety of meats, from chicken, to beef, to pork, and even chicken hearts! Cheeseburger derives from the way Brazilians pronounce “cheese”, which evolved into the shortened version “X” (sheeez). The Beirute is a much larger sandwich. This sandwich is toasted and also much larger than a regular X-burger. It has a Arab influence, as the name “Beirute” suggests.
