Educacao e do Brinquedo Museum
The Museum of Education and Toy, created at the Faculty of Education, University of São Paulo, is a space for visitation and research that aims to help individual development through the analysis of the universe play involving toys and the very act of playing.
The site offers explanatory visits for educators who subsequently monitor their students in the analysis of the exhibits. There are also workshops and research projects to include the playful practice of teaching method docentes.O museum also hosts the exhibition Toys as a manifestation of culture and social relations: reflections possible, which has the function to show the objects of the acquis in times of play and, from there, examining the construction of the identity of each visitor.
The collection includes, in addition to toys, a bullock cart in the early 20th century, a coal stove in the 30s, a wooden radio of 40 years and a meat grinder, 1950.
In addition to dolls of various countries in South America, there is also a black doll from 1910. Due to the large amount of pieces, the museum rotates items with the acquis, while some are exposed, others are stored and returned after a few months.
