Telefone Museum

The Memory Center is the area of ​​Telefonica Telefonica Foundation contributes to the formation of cultural identity, mainly of children and young people belonging to disadvantaged social groups in the country.

Through exhibitions, virtual galleries, research material and entertainment, the Telefonica Foundation provides for public consultation around 125-year history of telecommunications in Brazil.

The Memory Center is the area of ​​Telefonica Telefonica Foundation contributes to the formation of cultural identity, mainly of children and young people belonging to disadvantaged social groups in the country, promoting social inclusion through the recovery of the memory of telecommunications through the preservation, conservation historical collection and dissemination of the Telefonica Group.

To achieve its goal of encouraging social inclusion through the redemption of the memory of telecommunications, the core memory Telefonica has a more complete historical collections of the country, are varied telephony equipment, text documents, graphics and iconography, as well as postcards and phone, covering more than a century of history.

Collection Three-Dimensional
In three-dimensional part of the collection, are preserved phones, call centers, operators tables, tools and equipment suitable for telephony, measuring and testing devices, cables, office furniture, clocks, among others. Each piece features a 3000 Catolográfica sheet with basic information on characteristics, history, conservation and restoration.

Iconographic and textual
It has the iconographic collection systems and equipment schemes, photographs, plans and architectural drawings of buildings, call centers and specific securities, postcards and more. The collection also features textual almost 100 years of history with the collection of telephone directories (since 1911), Internal Periodicals Collection since 1928 (Blue Bell, Leading, Information and Televip CTBC), books, clippings, etc.. cataloged electronically through records and database developed by the staff of the Fundación Telefónica, which translates into flexibility in entering new fields and adjustments when necessary.

Photos
In addition to all these objects, the Telefonica Foundation also has 100 thousand pictures R & B in its photographic collection, negatives, glass negatives, contacts and trading cards - produced by the technical areas and reporting the old and new phone companies that acted and act in São Paulo. There is also a collection of available cards for public telephones in Brazil published from 1994 to 1998, and edited specifically for São Paulo from 1998.
