Opened in 1980, Teatro Sérgio Cardoso has two concert halls: the hall and the room Sérgio Cardoso Paschoal Charlemagne. The first has been host to many national and international performances of dance, theater, concerts and orchestras. The second is responsible for the presentation of groups that are not yet known to the public, becoming a space to experiment with theater and dance. Sergio Cardoso has an excellent infrastructure, with rehearsal rooms and dressing rooms for large companies. All the technical infrastructure was developed in order to facilitate their repair. The freight elevators support tons and can quickly raise large and heavy elements in the landscape. After a renovation done by the Government Mário Covas, Teatro Sérgio Cardoso back today to be a show house with all its capacity available to the public and artists.
