Rio Quente (Hot River)
At the height of colonialism in Brazil, more precisely in 1722, Hot River had its hot springs discovered by Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva Filho, and was named Old Caldas. Only in 1988 the city was liberated, no longer just a district of Caldas Novas (11978), and becoming, along with its neighbor, a great tourist spot, attracting thousands and thousands of people every year.
Located near major centers of Goiania, Brazil, Uberlandia, Uberaba and São Paulo, the city enjoys a privileged nature, its tropical climate, hot and humid throughout the year (the average annual temperature is 23 º C), provides the very nice conditions for visitors who can enjoy their hot springs, among other natural beauties. The volume of water produced by springs in the region is about 6.228 million liters / hour, which means that every day nearly 150 million gallons of water hot pools renew the content of the Inn, and the water park, more complex tourist site.
