Peruibe is a municipality in the state of Sao Paulo in the Santos Metropolitan Region, in the microregion of Itanhaém.  Situated on the southern coast of São Paulo, is the gateway to one of the most important and richest natural reserves in the world: Juréia-Itatins, one of the last remnants of Atlantic Forest of Brazil. That alone would be enough to attest to the importance of the city for our country, but the heritage of Peruíbe goes much further.

Peruíbe has a rich historical and cultural groups have been one of the cradles of the colonization of Brazil. In the Archaeological Site Abarebebe are the ruins of one of the earliest churches in the country, built by Portuguese missionaries and the natives used to catechize and to practice their faiths.

It houses several species of animals and plants, many, including endangered species such as monkey, tapir and ocelot. is studied by researchers around the world. Peruíbe has a wide sales network, with several hotels, restaurants, camping sites, fishing grounds, markets and shops, and a better structured cities of the coast of Sao Paulo. The city's main economic activity is tourism, and all what year the city receives visitors from around the world.
