Description: Barra de Jangada Beach

Lying between the mouth of the Candeias Jaboatao river, is the Barra de Jangada Beach.   Its dark and shallow waters are the result of the meeting of the river with the ocean.  At low tide many sandbars are formed, which are then used as natural harbors for many of the small boats in this area. 

There are several bars, restaurants, marinas and lodges which cater to tourists at Barra de Jangada Beach, which makes it a perfect place for an outing.  Plenty of nearby food means it's possible to travel here without worrying about snacks, lunch or dinner.  Come enjoy the shallow waters, the scenery and the food found here.

On either side of this beach, you can find Candeias Beach and Itapuama Beach.  From nearby Pontal da Barra, you can make the crossing by boat to the Island of Love, where pristine beaches with lots of coastal tropical vegetation awaits you.

The area is great for a day of fun water activities, and has plenty of nearby attractions to keep even the most inquisitive person busy.   The surrounding beaches and island make this an interesting place to visit.
