Pina Beach
An urban and busy beach, Pina Beach offers infrastructure similar to that of Boa Viagem, the next beach over, with many stalls and kiosks offering food and many cold beverages. The waves and the protection of reefs attract families with children. The beach has become know as a place for good restaurants and culture. Many bars and restaurants specialize in seafood here.
Unfortunately, the waters are often not suitable for swimming because of pollution, but Pina Beach offers an infrastructure of courts, kiosks and recreation areas, especially for children. This beach was the first beach in Recife, originally housing a colony of fishermen. The area still has a strong presence of fishermen who still live and work in the area.
