June Festivals
The largest festivities of São João do Rio de Janeiro takes place in June with all the typical representation of the Northeast Pavilion in São Cristóvão (11578) with all the intensity and the traditions of the feasts of St. Anthony, St. John and St. Peter! June is just the beginning of the feast in the month of July because the Fair continues with gangs, games, ceilings and other super special attractions. The Fair presents numerous groups of gangs, games and stick-to-fat, Bumba-meu-boi, break the pot and more. The project, in its fifth year, is keen to celebrate the festivities typical during the months of June and July the manner of the Northeastern states. The region, in a peculiar way, stands out from the North, Midwest, Southeast and South when it comes to traditional culture in music, crafts, theater, cinema, literature suddenly and string. The symbols represent the mark and are significant in Northeast Brazil. This representation was repeated in Rio at the Fair of São Cristóvão (11578) - legitimate stronghold of his people. With the transfer into the Fair Pavilion, the rich culture of the northeast are also transferred, thus, widening the opportunities and the relationship Rio de Janeiro / Northeast. The new projects are part of a single activity system, where cultural icons and symbols are indispensable ingredients. The states of Maranhão, Piaui, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe and Bahia have their particular ways of celebrating the June festivities centered in San Antonio, St. John and St. Peter. In a pioneering way, the Fair, even away from the Northeast, these states united around its largest party.
