The airport is located 20 km (13 miles) north of Rio de Janeiro

Buses, taxis and shuttles transport passengers expressed to the city center. (Journey time: 30 to 40 minutes). Buses leave every hour from the airport to major hotels and beaches, and every 30 minutes there is a public bus that goes to the city center.
