Maracanã Stadium
Opened to receive the 1950 World Cup, Maracana's second most visited by tourists and residents in Rio de Janeiro. Now under construction, the stadium continues to open doors. The new visitation was opened on March 4, 2011 and is made by the Tower of Glass. Located in the north of the city, access to the complex - which also includes the Maracanazinho, the Athletics Track Celio de Barros and the Julio Delamare Aquatic Park - is easy. You can reach by subway (station Maracana or St. Francis Xavier + integration), bus or train: all stop outside the stadium.
Along the floors of the tower, you can see the collection of the stadium. The former Hall of Fame was moved and there are immortalized 100 pairs of legs of the greatest players in world football, including: Pelé, Zico, Garrincha, Rivelino, Didi, Eusebio, Beckenbauer, Romerito, Figueroa, Ronaldo, Roberto Dynamite , Jairzinho, Carlos Alberto, Gerson and the best player in the world of female football in 2006, elected by FIFA, and a champion of the XV Pan American Games, Marta - the only woman to join the Walk of Fame.
Accessing the third floor by the escalators or the elevators of the panoramic glass tower, visitors will find more feet Walk of Fame, the statue of former player Zico, the busts of former coach Zagallo Garrincha and the eternal. A virtual model of the stadium gives the visitor the feeling of being inside the new Maracana.
