Museum of Modern Art of Bahia MAM
Description: features a collection of Brazilian modernism and contemporary art, comprising paintings, drawings, prints, silkscreen, sculptures, tapestries and objects. More than 1000 works of leading artists, among them: Tarcila do Amaral, Djanira, Portinari, Ianelli, Rubem Valentim, Carybe, Sante Scaldaferri, etc. The museum holds exhibitions successfully large. Goya, Jesus Soto, Picasso and other contemporary productions through the exchange and partnership with similar institutions, international and national. It also works as a cultural center, with space for various art forms and supporting schools through the workshop program that offers courses in painting, modeling, drawing on handmade paper, and events, theater and music.
