Burle Marx Park
Parque Burle Marx is characterized by the predominance of native woody vegetation that covers a large area of diverse topography around an open valley where lies a beautiful lake that is home to fish, turtles and swans.
In addition to the diversity of tree species, the fauna is composed of 89 species, most birds.
The main attraction are the white tuft of marmosets that even if an exotic species, live loose in the woods and very happy to provide moments of the park users who like to interact with these animals. They are also quite abundant lizards, skunks, turtles, guinea pigs and fish.
The park also houses historical and cultural remains, as the House of Taipa and pestle that represents an ancient building process that was brought by the Portuguese and is of great importance its preservation for its historical and cultural value.
This area of 138,000 m2 has a wide range of environments and attractive for public viewing, and the garden of Burle Marx, one of the most appreciated by visitors, the composition of the sculptural panels that frame the space by reflecting pools, pergola, lawn that mimics a chess board and the diversity of ornamental plants to beautify the environment.
Trails
One of the attractions of the Parque Burle Marx are the hiking trails inside the forest. The trails surrounding the lakes and trick a user into a true sensory experience in the forest, with the right to observe a diversity of animals and tree species. You can feel the temperature difference near the lakes, where vegetation is denser and also in places more open with the presence of grasses.
