Congonhas

Congonhas is known as the City of the Prophets by the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, architectural listed by Unesco as World Heritage Site and that immortalized the genius of Antonio Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho.
Aleijadinho, beyond the twelve prophets carved in soapstone, also carved in cedar beautiful images divided into six chapels representing the Stations of the Cross of Christ, or the Via Sacra, as it is known.

With its baroque architecture, the city also takes us on a journey in time and the golden age of the gold cycle, with beautiful churches and mansions. Main attraction are:
