Três Poderes Square in Brasília

Composed of representatives of federal executive, legislative and judicial branches, the Three Powers Square was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa. There are located the Palace of the Foreign Ministry, the Presidential Palace, the Palace of Justice, the Supreme Court, Congress, the Pantheon of Liberty and Democracy and the Lúcio Costa Space. It also hosts the sculpture "The laborers", by Bruno Giorgi, "Justice," Alfredo Ceschiatti and "The Loft", by Oscar Niemeyer.


Courthouse.
The buildings of the square convey the feeling of merging with the sky. The National Congress is the seat of the legislature. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, is the postcard of the capital. Overall architecture, with unusual design, the highlights are the two domes, which represent the plenary of the headquarters of the Legislature. The two shells, one concave - to the Senate - and one convex - the House of Representatives - symbolize the relationship of power and balances implicit in the bicameral system.


Rounding out the set two vertical buildings in the shape of the letter H, where the administrative functions of the two legislative houses. Over time, other rooms and offices were built to house the components of the government.


In the Planalto Palace, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the curved lines were used with great skill and refinement. Known as the Palace of the Orders, the location is the seat of executive power. It is there that the office of president. It is also the presidential headquarters.

The Supreme Court, the seat of the judiciary, is an architectural gem that seems to be floating in the air. The headquarters building was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated on April 21, 1960. It consists of three floors. At first, there are two entrances: the principal to receive guests and the general public and, on the opposite side, the private, for ministers and officials of the house. There is also a hall flanked by busts of statesmen and jurists, nationals and the screen "The pioneers of yesterday and today." In front lies the sculpture "Justice". The Main Hall, the White Room and the panel Bulcão Athos are the major highlights of the place.
