Costa da Lagoa is a town on the island of Santa Catarina, part of Florianópolis, located west of Lagoa de Fora, which is the northern part of the Lagoa da Conceição.  On the banks of the Conceição Lagoon the fishing village that can be visited only by trail or boat. At Costa da Lagoa fishing village you'll see an unforgettable landscape: an overview of the dunes of Joaquina beach, the Lagoon in all its extension, the Red River Ecological Reserve, the Barra da Lagoa and the Ponta da Galheta hills. You can also enjoy spectacular waterfalls and the fantastic local cuisine in one of the several seafood restaurants along its shore.

With rugged terrain, the only land access is through pathways that connect (1) the Freguesia da Lagoa, past the Canto dos Araçás, (2) to Saco Grande through the mountains, and to Ratones, also through the mountains, by its lower part.  Access can also be done by boat. There are all types of boats that can be rented for more intimate tours to Costa da Lagoa. One of the options is taking a boat bus at Joaquina beach by around R$ 10,00 round trip.
