Ponta das Canas Beach in Florianopolis

This beach shares the same name as the neighborhood it is found in.    Ponta das Canas is in Florianopolis, the capital of Santa Catarina, Brazil and is located on northern Santa Catarina Island.

The beach is roughly 1km long, with calm waters and is considered a popular tourist destination.  Historically it was a fishing village, but tourism has started to take over the beach, making it a nice location to travel to.

The water temperature is pleasant, and the whole set offers attractions for leisure and recreation. Ponta das Canas is a holiday and recreation area for families. It seems to be a familiar territory, yet it still has many natives and residents engaged in fishing, and services for visitors and tourists. It is a quiet beach with clear and fine waters. Its comfortable temperature attracts leisure and recreation. Its quiet environment, away from highways and stressful movements, owns restaurants, bars and support services.

The site was used for a community organization that worked with crops linking to fishing, because the beach still offers excellent conditions for these activities. With the advent of summer practice and rest homes and home sites, the region has been chosen for more than two hundred families who have to compete with the native residential rooms and the beach. This has become a resort area.
