Porto do Mucuripe
Mucuripe, is one of the most traditional symbol of Fortaleza. Formerly, a bucolic fishing village, today blends rafts with modern skyscrapers and the omnipotent presence of the Port.
The charm of the place - where a projecting point of land advances the Atlantic and forms a beautiful cove - was and still is a source of inspiration for poets, singers and painters, among them the composers and Fagner, Belchior (the verses of the song Mucuripe were immortalized by the voice of Elis Regina), photographer Chico Albuquerque and artist Raimundo Cela.
With over half a century of activity, the Port is one of the most important marine terminals, and his country's strategic location holds it in proximity to the markets of North America and Europe, allowing companies shipping service of regular lines to ports of the United States, Canada, Central America, Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the Mercosul countries, as well as routes to other ports through the Brazilian coastal navigation. Its catchment area covers the states of Ceara, Piaui, Maranhao, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco and Paraiba, extending also to the North, Midwest and the São Francisco Valley.
In Mucuripe Port there is one of the largest centers in the country and a swarthy infrastructure that allows the versatile handling of different types of goods, divided into dry bulk (grains, cereals, etc.), liquid bulk (petroleum products), loose and containerized general cargo. About 1500 people work at the Port. Cashew nuts, carnauba wax, metal, cloth, fruits, wheat, malt, lubricants, fuels and oil products are among the main products.

| Mucuripe Beach (beach) -
It has white soft sands, coconut trees and palm tress, and several areas to play sports. The area has an abundance of lobsters and a great way to test out all the best foods in the late afternoon is to visit the tents in the Fish Market, where all the freshest seafood from Fortaleza is brought. For those looking for a nice walk, the beachfront path makes for a nice stroll.

Take a boat ride along the shore, tours are between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Time your tour to catch the sunset, as it sets over the city. | Parque Estadual Marinho da Pedra da Risca do Meio (park) -
The Marine State Park of the Pedra da Risca do Meio is the only Marine Conservation Unit of the State of Ceará, with an area of 33.20 square kilometers distant 10 nautical miles (approximately 18.5 km) from Port of Mucuripe, Fortaleza. Access to this conservation area can only be done by vessels leaving the Port of Mucuripe take on average 50 minutes to reach the Marine Park area.
