Standing on the beach, a visitor might all of a sudden come across a trio playing authentic forró (a dance popular in the Northeast). This is what Artistas Beach is all about. Evening activities and demonstrations fill the beach, along with live music from the pubs and clubs and all full of locals and tourists alike, enjoying everything the artists have to offer.

Artistas Beach is an urban beach, only 5 minutes from downtown Natal and sits between Areia Preta Beach and Meio Beach.  The beach is known for it's waves and attracts a surfing crowd as well, and is famous for it's nightlife including local night clubs and restaurants.  Crafts and art gallery shopping is also well known and popular with both locals and tourists.

While visiting Artistas Beach, don't forget to take in the view from Ladeira do Sol, where you can see three popular beaches Meio Beach, Artistas Beach, and Forte Beach, along with the Forte dos Reis Magos.

Access to Artistas Beach is via Costeira or Hermes da Fonseca Avenue.
