Aviacao e da Segunda Guerra Museum

Situated on the banks of the Potengi River, this historic building was originally built to serve as a landing and takeoff place for seaplanes and also functioned as a passenger station for Pan Air Brazil until the Second World War, when it was the basis of support for the U.S. Navy.   When the war ended, the building was used as a club, casino, yacht club and restaurant.  Now visitors come to view the sunset along the edge of the Potengi River, and imaging the seaplanes taking off.

In 2000, the Air Force began a process of restoration of the former building, to create the Air and Space Museum, while ensuring that the project retained all of the original features of the building.
