The neoclassical style old building of Natal Port is located at Av. Luis da Camara Cascudo before the Rua da Cruz and Av. Junqueira Aires, one of the oldest streets of the city, in the Cultural Corridor.

It was built in the last century, in the same place where there was another building that, from 1830 to 1862, served as headquarters to the provincial government.

The site, which was listed in the state on August 11, 1988, was revitalized by the city of Natal, through a restoration project which recovered the elements that make up the main facade, the only piece that remained standing, resisting and challenging time.

Pierced by many windows, the main facade of the building also features two triangular pediments at the ends of the wall and is framed by pilasters and cornices that mark quite a severe form of structure.
