Sagi Beach in Natal

To the south of Natal lays Sagi Beach, situated between two rivers, it is also the last beach in the state of Rio Grande do Norte and sits on the border with the state of Paraíba.  The beach is calm and nice for bathing or swimming, and is considered a wild beach or a very natural beach.    It's also common to see animals being used for transportation in this area, due to it's remoteness.  The lack of modern amenities makes it a very leisurely beach to visit.  The beach is hot and sunny year round, during the summer seasons there are a number of people on the beach.   From Sagi Beach it is possible to see the Guaju river, which makes the division between the two states.

Once you're out in this area, it's worth checking out Baía Formosa Beach or Barra de Cunhaú Beach, which are both out in this general area.  They are between ten and twenty kilometers from from Sagi Beach, which will only take five to ten minutes to reach.

Other enjoyable beaches in this area include Pipa Beach and Tibau do Sul Beach, so if you're looking for a beach that is slightly closer to Natal, give one of these a try.  They're both still a distance away from the city and considered very rural, but they're both great beaches to spend a day at.
