Solar Bela Vista - Natal Historic Center

The Bela Vista Solar is a building that portrays an architectural conception of the early twentieth century.


Built in 1907 by Colonel Aureliano Medeiros, owner of the property at the time and considered one of the richest men in the Rio Grande do Norte.


Its design was intended to be a residential palace, the building is beautiful in its architectural features and characteristics of the style "neoclassical."


The mansion was built with what was more luxurious and modern at the time, furniture, carpets, chandeliers, crystal, glass and more, all imported from Belgium, France and Germany.


The grandeur of the Bela Vista portrayed the historical and economic living the city of Natal, where progress and modernization had already reached the city. With the death of Colonel Aureliano the palace gave way to the famous Bela Vista Hotel, one of the most exquisite and luxurious at the time, getting important political figures and party bosses in the state.


In 1958 the property, sold to the Social Service of Industry and overturned at the state level as historical and architectural heritage, on February 17, 1990, is of enormous importance to the culture and history Natal. Currently works as a Center of Culture and Leisure SESI and aims to bring industrial workers, families and the general public art in several segments.
