Parque Nacional da Restinga de Jurubatiba
The National Park of Restinga da Jurubatiba (or PARNA Jurubatiba) is the first National Park in Brazil only to understand the restinga ecosystem, the least represented in the National System of Conservation of Nature. Most researchers agree that Jurubatiba is the resting area better preserved and the country is virtually intact.

Beach Carapebus
It is located in the northern state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, covering the marine and alluvial plains of the coastal towns of Quissamã, Carapebus and Macaé. Comprises a strip of coastline with 14,860 hectares in area and 44 kilometers long along the beach, about 2 km wide at the west end, beside the pond Cabiúnas and 4.8 km wide at the east end (channel Ubatuba), with a perimeter of 123 km. Of the total area, 62.38% in the municipality of Quissamã. [1] It is administered by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio).
he coastal vegetation in the municipality of residence Quissamã presents problems, given the unfavorable conditions dictated by the nature of the soil and by the wind. The soils are nutrient poor, highly permeable and relatively dry in the surface layers, evaporation is great that they are subject. As for the wind, this is reflected mainly by damaging the shoots of plants, and the burial of these dunes
Currently, the National Museum has a project to survey all the existing flora in the park, while other institutions in Rio de Janeiro, as the Federal Fluminense University, dedicated to the study of many other aspects of plant and animal life of the site.
