Martim Gonçalves Theater
In 1958 was inaugurated the Teatro San Antonio (on the 40th anniversary of this school was renamed the Martin Theater Gonçalves), part of the architectural complex of the house. At the time, this theater was a temporary construction that can later be made permanent building.
Today, after 50 years, the former San Antonio Theatre (now Theatre Martim Gonçalves) was reopened on October 1, 2007, based on the initial conception of the Italian stage with full theatrical box that allows students and teachers an infrastructure for physical education and theater productions under conditions compatible with the needs of a School of Theatre is a national and theater that has its main laboratory for teaching, research and extension.

With the completion of the reconstruction of Martim Gonçalves Theatre, the Theatre School of the university to give back to the development of culture in Bahia, a theater with equipment suited to the new technologies of sound, lighting, cenotecnia, air conditioning and acoustics. Ensuring also their teachers, students, technicians and the general community, a modern artistic and technical training for the theatrical production in the coming decades. The public has a theater under conditions compatible with the current theaters in the country.
