Cologne Muricy was founded on June 6, 1878 at the river Miringuava for 60 Polish settlers coming from Galicia and East Prussia (the Krakow region). It appeared in the third stage of Polish colonization of the Paraná. The settlers had to work the land learn the ways of the "new world," its traditions, customs and the Catholic religion. In addition to Poles, Italians came to the colony of Trento. They planted fruits and vegetables, and raised poultry, cattle and pigs. Besides the traditions held at Easter and on Christmas Eve, the colony held the Harvest Festival in February.

Dam Guaricana has housing and cafeterias. Copel is an area of great sights and tourism, such as bird watching and hiking in dense tropical forests. There's a camping area near the lake, which provides excellent fishing and boating.

Divine Word Square is the largest of St. Joseph of the Pines. It's always open and admission is free. The square contains a bike trail, soccer field, sand playgrounds and places to walk. On holidays, the square has toys for children, booths selling various crafts, food and rare objects. It's located at the corner of Dr. Claudino dos Santos and Dr. Veríssimo Marques.

Wine and Wine Festival: The Wine Road is a route with more than 30 wine producers in Saint Joseph of the Pines, located at Colony Grebe. It's open throughout the year providing wine, cheese and sweets of various kinds. At the Wine Festival, you are greeted by students and locals dressed in traditional Italian clothing. The festival is held annually in August.

Santa's House: The home of Santa Claus is open through December 25th, every day. There are many stores that sell Christmas ornaments, there's a playground for children and the home of Santa Claus. It is open 24 hours a day and receives many visitors. It is located away from the city center, near Rua Rui Barbosa. It is open Monday to Friday from 4pm to 11pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, it opens at 5pm and closes at 11pm. During the days of celebration, people bring toys, clothes and food for needy organizations.

Sports and Leisure Centre Ney Braga Una River: It is a beautiful place with many forests and few inhabitants. Known by the hotel "La Dulce Vita," this place is on the border of St. Joseph of the Pines and South Tijucas.
