Gramado has a very nice selection of restaurants to choose from, and it's neighboring cities offer up an even larger selection of delicious Gaucho and Brazilian cuisines.  I have always enjoyed visiting Gramado.  So far I haven't really entered an establishment that hasn't had good food here.  The restaurants are all competing for tourists which seems to bring out the best in them.

Al Moretto It is a great place to go.  The last time I was there, the fondue was around 30 Reais per person (about US$ 15,00).  This included three courses.  The fist was a cheese fondue with traditional bread, baby potatoes and some other vegetables.   The next course includes a hot plate/stove which you cook thinly sliced beef, chicken and pork on.  Along with the meat are around 15 different dipping sauces.   When you're completely satisfied, they bring out the chocolate and fruit fondue.   The setting, and restaurant are all very nice, and the food is fantastic.
