Palacete Bolonha

One of the icons of the era buildings that Para was rich, perhaps the building that most represents the urban context of the Bethlehem is the beginning of this century palace Bologna. One of the most beautiful architectural buildings built in the XIX century and beginning of XX century, 1870-1912, Bethlehem went through a process of modernization and expansion of its urban area, a period called "rubber boom", the palace Bologna was and is a picture of sophistication and new trends brought about by the architect Francisco Bologna in mid-1905.

The palace was built to honor his wife Alice has the pianist Rio-Brick, and idealized the eclectic taste of Bologna Francisco, presents in its interior decoration and architecture facades, styles ranging from art nouveau [1] ·, neoclassical [2] Baroque [3] Brazil, Gothic [4] and eclectic elements [5].

The mansion Bologna is a lively page of modernity who settled in the city that once was "tropical Paris." (Andrade, 2004, p-133)

In an eclectic style, the building reflects the concern of local elites with the luxury and beauty, symbols of modernity and civilization of the desired time. The mansion that served as the residence of the village where they lived and other family members.

The Bologna Palace was listed as cultural heritage 02de July 1982 by IPHAN (Institute of national artistic heritage) through which Secult (Department of Culture), a partnership with FUMBEL (cultural foundation of the city of Bethlehem), which came across this tipping rescue the importance of this mansion and has had to our history of a glorious past.

This palace with all its refinement and luxury has been forgotten for nearly a decade. The artistic elements in the building, electrical installations were severely damaged.

In 1997 the city of Bethlehem began the restoration work, this work was in part because he needed money to complete the restoration of the palace. After the release of funds have been restored not only the palace but also the village Bologna, who intends to recover not only the architectural value of the building itself, but mainly the affective value and reference that this area represents the community.

The rich detail of the palace Bologna, which had completed its construction in 1915, seems to have no end, throughout history this is one of the most important buildings of artistic and cultural heritage of Bethlehem

After a major renovation, the history of the building gained a new chapter, where the mansion was fully restored, but it was not possible to keep all their original features, some continued as, for example, the initials FB, which is its great creator , and the facade of the building remained intact with all its frescoes. Today the palace complex has some attached, for example, the memorial of the people, the garage where he worked, became a theater critic Acyr in honor of Castro, and was also built an amphitheater and museum bellepoque.

And besides working all these recreational areas also works some of the current municipal administration offices. The BELÉMTUR, the municipal health council, and part of FUMBEL SEMAD.

Dento this perspective of heritage conservation can conclude with respect to the palace Bologna that their conservation status can be considered good, however this situation is to preserve historic buildings in a few of our capital.
